| After years of working on, sponsoring, and owning various types of race cars from street stocks, latemodels, and even an ARCA ReMax car, Dane decided that it was time to take the plunge. He was going to chase almost every young man's dream, he was going to drive a race car. There were only a few problems. Fist of all, at only a month from 40 years old he was not a young man, but that did not matter. Second of all he was overweight. A serious diet took care of this. In less than 4 months he lost over 100 pounds. It is a great start. Now he needed a car. With some help from friends, he acquired a 1993 Mercury Topaz. Dane and his six year old son set out to turn it into a hornet race car. The rules are simple, It is basically a stock car with some safety features. Dane ordered his racing safety gear from Gendreau Racing Products and he was ready to go racing. It was off to the Indianapolis Speedrome |
